At St Mary's children wear a school uniform when attending school, representing the school or when participating in a school event. 

We believe that a school uniform should be practical, smart and encourages a sense of belonging and community. 

Our School Uniform

All children are expected to wear:

• Grey or black skirt, trousers or shorts
• Blue and white checked summer dresses 
• White polo shirt or shirt/blouse
• Royal blue jumper or cardigan
• Suitable black shoes

PE

All children are expected to wear: 

• White t-shirt 
• Royal blue shorts
• Joggers and sweatshirt for colder weather
• Black slip-on plimsolls for inside
• Trainers for outside

Weather-appropriate outerwear

We aim for the children to be outside as much as possible during breaks and outside lessons. Please make sure that your child has a coat suitable for school and the season, including waterproof coat in case of rain. Wellington boots are also very useful to have as the school grounds can get muddy. We strongly recommend that children bring in named hats during the summer months.

School Reading Bags

Reading Bags, or Book Bags, are recommended.

Book bags should be Royal Blue with a Velcro fastening. We do not recommend the larger version with toggle fastenings.

Most of our school uniform is available to purchase in any good supermarket or clothes store.

We also host regular second hand clothing sales before and after school and have a second handrail always available. Please speak to the office to arrange access.
