St Mary's CE Primary School Breakfast club runs for the children who are currently on roll every day from 8.00am until the beginning of the school day. We ask that parents sign up and pay for breakfast club one week in advance of the week that their child/children will be attending.Pilot studies show that breakfast clubs have a positive effect on children resulting in better behaviour, greater concentration, improved attendance and punctuality, less bullying, improved social skills and confidence to interact with children and adults alike. The activities help develop the children's learning in an informal way and help them understand the importance of healthy eating.
The children are provided with a healthy nutritional breakfast from a choice of healthy cereals, yoghurt, fromage frais, wholemeal or white toast with a choice of spreads such as jam, marmalade etc. Fruit juice, milk or water will be offered and then breakfast is followed by a period of play and activities.
The club aims to support both working and non working parents and you may be able to get extra help with the costs via Child Tax Credits or Working Tax credit if one or both parents work at least 16 hours a week. You can log onto www.hmrc.gov.uk or phone 0845 300 3900 for further information. You will need our Ofsted reference number: 126024. We do have some literature in the school office if you need to have a look at this.
The cost per child will be £3.25 each day, and payment should be made to the school office. Cheques are accepted and should be made payable to:
'WSCC St Marys C.E Primary School Account Clymping'
Unfortunately it will not be possible to refund payments if your child is unable to attend once you have booked their place other than in exceptional circumstances.
