ST MARY'S SCHOOL / HOME AGREEMENT

At St Mary's we work in partnership with parents, carers, children and other stakeholders to make sure that our children receive and can take advantage of the very best quality education. This agreement should be read in conjunction with our whole school vision where we make it clear what we aim for – high for every child.

The school will:

  • Encourage children to do their best at all times

  • Have high expectations of children in behaviour and work

  • Inform parents regularly about how their children are progressing

  • Take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety, happiness and self confidence of children

  • Be open and welcoming at all reasonable times and offer opportunities for parents and carers to become involved in the daily life of the school

  • Contact parents as soon as possible if we are concerned about their child's work or behaviour

  • Offer a broad and balanced curriculum which meets the needs of our children

Parents Agree to:

  • Make sure that their child arrives in school on time and is collected on time

  • Make sure that their child attends school regularly and that the school is notified of the reason for any absence

  • Support children with homework and any other home learning opportunities

  • Attend parents evenings

  • Let the school know if there are any problems or circumstances which may affect the child in school
